Mt. Jackson Moose Lodge #979/WOTM #1403

Moose, The Family Fraternity: an international organization of men and women, dedicated to caring for young and old, bringing communities closer together and celebrating life.

From the Administrator

Hot and sticky time on the hill. We are getting advice from two different companies on the best way to proceed with making upgrades that will make our AC in the bar area more comforting. Thanks for the patience.

Governor Custer and I will be attending the Moose International conference in St. Louis over the 4th of July weekend.

We have some good news for the kitchen. Crystal Fury will be cooking for us on Thursday and Friday evenings starting the 2nd week in July. Come on in and try some good home cooking again at the lodge. (menu can be found on the Calendar Page)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of brother Mike Humphrey after a long illness. Mike was a fun guy and really enjoyed this Lodge when he was in town. He will be missed.

We got some new bar stools, and a couple of spares for the future. No more stuffing popping out. We have five well used bar stools to get rid of, make me an offer. Until next time, be safe and don't forget to tip your bartenders.

Volunteer Shout Outs!

This month we wish to thank the WOTM for an outstanding yard sale and also for a great Father's Day dinner. We heard many good comments and the crowd was having a good time. The homemade noodles were awesome!

A big shout out to our BBQ Chicken crew: Wes Polk, Bradley Hupp, L.H. Crouse, Jeff Custer, Greg Hovatter and a really big shout out to Shirley Green for helping and keeping this bunch under control. We sold out!

Thanks to Brad Dennison for helping with the "Sunday Food" and another batch of chicken and dumplings. As always, it was a big hit!
